Where I am now
Zurich, Switzerland
I moved to Zurich, Switzerland in August 2016, and settled into the slower-paced life effortlessly.
I missed having more personal, breathable, comfortable space when I was in San Francisco and Singapore, and I’m getting it back in Switzerland.
It’s great having it back because I feel like I’m more at peace, and though still rather impatient, but more patient and chilled out than before.

A Great Start in Switzerland
I was able to take some time off to focus on my new life here in Switzerland, and was able to have my friends and family visiting me before I started working.
It was nice to have all the time to show them around, and travel with them. Beside able to show them the sights, it was also my opportunity to show them that I’m going to be ok here in Switzerland.

Working in Switzerland
I started working for The Nuance Group AG, a Dufry company, in June 2017.
More about the work and responsibilities, you may refer to My Career page.
I’m extremely thankful for the opportunity, as it had shown me what I’m actually capable of, and I was pushed positively in all directions of many different possibilities. On top of that, I was working with a team that was unfathomably always trying our best. We worked hard and played hard. We formed really close bond, in & out of work.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, I was one of the casualties in the re-structuring. However, I know I’ve left a damn good & positive impression on the people that I got to work with or crossed path with. Thanks to all the well wishes, and with that I’m filled with many ideas and confidence that I can do anything I put my mind into.
So let’s see what’s the next chapter for me. For now, I’m having to have a little time to myself, to learn & explore what’s out there, and to enrich & nourish my mind with new possibilities and horizons.
Stay tune! For sure I’ll update it when I have something new.
Life in Switzerland
Switzerland is like an acquired taste; either you like it here or you don’t.
Of course, it is an undeniably a beautiful country, but depending on what one’s likes & dislikes, it can also be a rather dull country, or a hard pill to swallow.
For me, I’ve been adjusting & adapting fantastically here. Could it be more interesting? Of course! Could it be more entertaining? Of course! Could it be more vibrant! Of course! But the homebody me is also contented with a good quality quiet living condition and some great company, which I made many here.
I enjoy very much to have the space here and to be close to the nature. Being able to walk out and breathe and not being pushed and shoved about during peak hours. The air quality is so good that I hardly have sinus attack.
Of course I miss all the delicious food back home, and the availability at all hours. But that also brought back the opportunity for me to cook again. Being in the kitchen and creating something also brings me so much joy. Check out some of my attempts here.
I am also very fortunate to have met many great friends, either through work or other friends, who welcomed me with open arms. It’s assuring to know that I can rely on these friends if it calls upon.
I am living everyday here knowing that I’m blessed, with my family and all my friends in my life. I’m looking forward to every time I get to spend with them, and creating more memories.
